Background
The Cleveland Medical Association (CMA) is the Northeastern Ohio chapter of the National Medical Association (NMA). The NMA promotes the collective interests of physicians and patients of African descent. The NMA carries out this mission by serving as the collective voice of physicians of African descent and a leading force for parity in medicine, elimination of health disparities and promotion of optimal health. The CMA represents over 200 African-American physicians of various medical specialties. It promotes wellness and health awareness, as well as provides professional support to its members.
The CMA is the local branch of The National Medical Association (NMA) which is the collective voice of African American physicians and the leading force for parity and justice in medicine and the elimination of disparities in health.

The Cleveland Medical Association meets every third Wednesday of each month.
